Uma Will Be Wilson's "Super Ex"
Not too long ago we brought you the scoop on director Ivan Reitman's ("Ghostbusters") next project, the high-concept comedy called "Super Ex." It was announced that Luke Wilson ("Charlie's Angels") would play the lead, and Mr. Wilson has indeed signed that contract. But now comes word that "The Bride" herself, Uma Thurman, will co-star as a jilted superheroine with a serious grudge.
Variety says the plot is about "a superhero who falls for a regular guy. He's OK with her superhuman abilities but can't take her neediness. When he dumps her, she uses her powers to turn the guy's life into a nightmare."
"Simpsons" writer/producer Don Payne makes his screenwriting debut with "Super Ex," and with the stars, screenplay, and director firmly in place, Regency Enterprises plans to get production underway this fall.

on Jul 13 2005 07:33 AM Sounds like it could be funny. I like Luke Wilson in some roles and not in others. He will be what makes it or breaks it for me probably. Uma is a great addition to any movie so they lucked out there. Madman (Reply to this) |
