Reports From Comic-Con: Ghost Rider's Ride and Upcoming Bruce Campbell's Projects
by Binh Ngo | July 15, 2005
Discuss Article
The folks over at IGN FilmForce have invaded San Diego to cover Comic-Con 2005. Among the various comic book news, they managed to grab some photos of Ghost Rider's vehicle of choice. Rest assured it's not something you'll see on Discovery Channel's "American Chopper." Check out the wicked ride here.

B-movie legend Bruce Campbell was also on hand to promote his new book, "Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way." FilmForce was able to sit down with him to discuss some of his upcoming movie projects. "Bubba Nosferatu," the sequel to 2003's "Bubba Ho-Tep," where Campbell plays a geriatric Elvis impersonator(?), is on hold. MGM is apparently interested but has no intention of making the movie at this time.

Campbell was evasive when asked about his involvement in the third Spider-Man movie, hinting that he may appear in the it given that he appeared in the previous two. As for the "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash" movie, it probably won't happen, as he said in no uncertain terms that it's simply "a bad idea."

Head on over to FilmForce for more Comic-Con goodness.

Hey MGM,

I'd pay to see Bubba Nosferatu and I promise to drag along at least three friends.

Shame it didn't happen, it really sounded like fun.

Isn't there a remake of The evil dead being done right now? Is he not involved?

I read a rough script of FvJvA, maybe from a link on arrowinthehead.com. Seemed loads of fun and entirely stupid at the same time.

Bubba N would have been nice.

Huh, two nights ago before the private screening of "Man with screaming brain", bruce held a 15 minute Q&A and he said Bubba Nosferatu was ready to go...then again, I could've heard wrong, I mean the guy had the entire theater falling on the ground laughing. Greatest.Guy.Ever.

Damn right about that. I remember reading an interview somewhere (think arrow again) about a new flick where he plays himself. The plot being that a town encounters the dead, so they decide to 'call that guy from the evil dead movies' or something like that.

I really really really really really hope they don't make Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash. It would be a horror nut fest, I know. But there's gotta be a line.

Bubba Nosferatu? Yes please. But sadly, we wouldn't have another Black JFK. I wouldn't want to see any other actor filling the shoes of the late great Ossie Davis.

Ossie Davis' JFK died in Bubba Ho-Tep, so he wouldn't have come back anyway.

Hail to the King Baby! I hope both FvJvA and Bubba N get made. Problem is - there are only so many nerds like me willing to buy a ticket to support projects like that. So sad for me. Shop smart - shop S Mart.

Oh, I know. I heard that if they did Bubba-Nos, it would be a prequelish.

Ash don't need no Freddy or Jason, he's best at fighting himself or parts of himself or little version of himself.......
