Kate Hudson Joins Owen Wilson in "Dupree"

The Hollywood Reporter shares some casting news: Bubbly blonde Kate Hudson has signed to star opposite Owen Wilson in the romantic comedy "You, Me and Dupree."

Written by Mike LeSieur and soon to be directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, the story "revolves around a newlywed couple whose relationship issues boil over when the groom's unemployed best man moves in for a brief period and seems to have no intention of leaving."

Universal bought the project following a rather feverish bidding frenzy, and they plan to get production underway by the end of the year.

The Russo brothers are probably best known for their offbeat heist comedy "Welcome to Collinwood."

This movie could be good if they get the right person to play the best friend.
