by Scott Weinberg | July 22, 2005
Blog Article | Discuss Article
The CGI family flick known as "The Ant Bully" will premiere on IMAX screens on the same day it receives a traditional wide release, says Variety.

Based on the book by John Nickle, the movie's about "a boy who, after flooding an anthill with his water gun, miraculously shrinks to insect size and must do hard labor to atone for his misdeed."

The rather impressive voice cast includes Julia Roberts, Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, and Paul Giamatti; Mr. Nickle's story is being adapted and directed by "Jimmy Neutron" creator John A. Davis.

"Ant Bully" will crawl into theaters (IMAX and otherwise) on Augusit 6th of next year.

Man that's a long ways off. But it sounds like it could be good. Plus you got Cage, Streep, and Giamatti.
