Trailer Bulletin: Barnyard
by Scott Weinberg | August 02, 2005
Discuss Article
Apple QuickTime has the brand-new trailer for a CG animated comedy entitled "Barnyard" -- and it's chock full of kooky cows ... with male voices. (Heh.)

Written and directed by professional goofball Steve Oedekerk, "Barnyard" seems to be about bovine hijinks of the silliest sort.

Providing voices for the loquacious livestock are Kevin James, Sam Elliott, John ("Bender") Di Maggio, and Wanda Sykes, with Andie McDowell as a hen, David Koechner as a coyote, and Dom Irrera as a dog.

The Paramount production is set for release on January 13th.

"Open Barnyard"
Between this and Open Sesson, there seems to be a revenge theme running in upcoming animated features. What's next, Kill Mr. Bill?

Male cows do not have udders. These are some kind of creepy sexless mutant cows. And I do not like it.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I don't think I can see a movie with gender-confused cows. If they were people, I'd be OK. :)
