John Landis Goes to the "Dogs"
Veteran comedy director John Landis will helm "Show Dogs" for New Line Cinema, says Variety. Described as a canine-centric "Pygmalion," the story focuses on a "homeless Jack Russell terrier thrust into the competitive world of dog shows."
"Not Another Teen Movie" scribe Mike Bender sold the script to New Line over two years ago, and it now seems that Mr. Landis' involvement has spurred the flick into production.
John Landis is famous for directing classics such as "Animal House" and "An American Werewolf in London" -- and also for his connection to the tragic "Twilight Zone" accident that claimed the lives of actor Vic Morrow and two young children.
