Voight and Davidovich Sign on for Cain's "Dawn"
by Scott Weinberg | August 11, 2005

Jon Voight and Lolita Davidovich will star in Christopher Cain's "September Dawn," says The Hollywood Reporter. The independently produced western thriller begins shooting this week in Calgary.

""Septmeber Dawn" is a love story set against the 19th century massacre of a wagon train of settlers in Utah at the hands of a renegade Mormon group. Voight plays the leader of the renegade Mormon faction, while Davidovich is a member of the wagon train who stands up to Voight's threats."

As a director, Christopher Cain is probably best known for films like "Young Guns," "The Principal," "The Next Karate Kid," and (gulp) "Gone Fishin'."
