Splinter Cell to Operate at a New Studio
Back in December 2004 it was announced that Peter Berg would be helming the videogame adaptation "Splinter Cell" for Paramount Pictures, but since that time we haven't heard a peep about the feature, and now comes word that Paramount may be out and DreamWorks in -- along with a new screenwriter.
Initial word was that Berg, J.T. Petty and John J. McLaughlin had written the script, but with all the executive-shifting at Par it seems the project was stalled, and now Berg has moved on to direct "The Kingdom," leaving vacancies all over the place.
Apparently the film will now be moving to DreamWorks and Daniel Pyne ("The Manchurian Candidate") will be scripting the feature.

If they're lucky they could have an Ahhhnold ... (Reply to this) |
