Trailer Bulletin: Thumbsucker
by Scott Weinberg | August 22, 2005
Discuss Article
It's won awards and accolades at several film festivals, and soon you can check out the indie comedy/drama "Thumbsucker" for yourself. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy the trailer, which is available right here.

Written & directed by newcomer Mike Mills, and based on the novel by Walter Kirn, "Thumbsucker" is an ensemble coming-of-age story about a 17-year-old who suffers through several divergent remedies for his oral fixation.

Lou Pucci plays the titular sucker, and he's capably flanked by folks like Tilda Swinton, Vincent D'Onofrio, Keanu Reeves, Vince Vaughn, and Benjamin Bratt.

"Thumbsucker" opens in limited release on September 16th.

Hooray for having Tilda's face in the article and not Keanu :-)

Edit: Never noticed before, but she looks a lot like Eric Stolz.

Now that's a good cast, definitely have to see this one. Nice to see the great D'Onofrio in a movie again. The Stolz, Swinton comment is amusingly true.
