Sevigny Joins Gyllenhaal in Fincher's "Zodiac"
by Scott Weinberg | August 26, 2005
Blog Article | Discuss Article
Variety reports that Chloe Sevigny has joined Jake Gyllenhaal in David Fincher's fact-based serial killer thriller "Zodiac."

"Sevigny will play the girlfriend of Robert Graysmith, a San Francisco Chronicle cartoonist who tried to crack the mystery of the infamous serial slayer. The Zodiac killer terrorized the San Francisco area from 1966-78, committing at least 37 murders and documenting his exploits in snide missives mailed to the newspaper. Jake Gyllenhaal plays Graysmith."

The WB / Paramount co-production has Fincher's name on it, which means the bleak-geeks (like me) will be lined up on opening night.

Screenwriter James Vanderbilt ("The Rundown," "Basic," "Darkness Falls") is apparently the scribe on duty these days.

Seems like it could be a Fincher Masterpiece (tm). Any ideas on a possible release date?

I bet you'd have a VERY hard time finding a hollywood actress that hasn't put their mouth on that particular part of the male anatomy at some point in their life...

Oh come on. You really couldn't find a better photo of Sevigny? She looks incredibly stoned there.

I'm really looking forward to this movie, but I wish they would have gotten someone different than Sevigny, like Leslie Mann, give her chance at a dramatic role.

This project is doomed already if they're letting the writer of The Rundown,Basic, and Darkness Falls, write this.
