Craven Drops a Few Remarks About "Scream 4"
ComingSoon.net reports a scoop snagged by an IconsofFright.com con-goer, and the bottom line is this: Wes Craven, Neve Campbell, and the Weinstein brothers have been seriously considering reteaming for, you guessed it, "Scream 4."
"Wes Craven told attendees (the Monster Mania convention in Cherry Hill, NJ) that he recently had breakfast with Neve Campbell, who said she had recently spoken with the Weinsteins about coming back for "Scream 4." Campbell apparently is seriously considering playing Sidney Prescott again in the highly-profitable franchise."
That's all the info we have so far, horror-fans, but c'mon, you can't say you're actually surprised about the possibility of a "Scream 4," can you?

on Aug 31 2005 01:20 AM No... if they're making a sequel to "Basic Instinct" 12 years after (just to mention ONE example), no sequel is surprising at all... (Reply to this) |

on Aug 31 2005 08:07 AM Hollywood could care less what like, they will keep spoon feeding it to us. The only thing good about Scream 3 was Parker Posey. I'm amazed they're considering a 4. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Aug 31 2005 08:19 AM I don't know how good a fourth scream film would be but I'll definetely watch it first night!. I'am a big fan of the scream films and they have all been good so far(not so much Scream 3, but it was okay). (Reply to this) |
![]() on Aug 31 2005 09:49 AM Unnecessary I'm shaking my carving knife in anger!! Wes, Wes, Wes...You were opposed to sequals in the 80's, now I guess money and greed changed your mind. Neve...you need a new hit like a crackhead needs a hit. This will be good for her, even on Scream 9 when she's 85 on a wheelchair rolling away from the killer. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 01 2005 01:21 AM This is such a bad idea. Scream 3 really suffered when Kevin Williamson didn't do the script. Only if he were back in the mix with Neve and Wes may I even possibly consider it. Leave it as a well regarded and classic trilogy. We don't need any more unnecessary sequals. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 01 2005 02:32 PM I dunno i'm not tottaly opposed to it, theres definatley worse sequels being made, and the scream franchise ,I thought, was very well done I personally liked scream 3 better then scream 2 so a fourth wouldn;t bother me that much, maybe it's just me tho (Reply to this) |

on Sep 01 2005 03:35 PM I would rather be strapped to a chair, with my eyes forced open, with some weird scientist dude putting eye drops in my eyes, while watching horrific scenes of rape and violence, and listening to really cool 1970's state of the art electronic music, than to have my senses bombarded with another Scream!!!! on Sep 01 2005 05:59 PM IT MAKES FISCAL SENSE Considering the 4th install. is 5 years detached is it not prudent to submit this flick for an audience that was age 8 five years ago? They'll eat this shit up like a pack of Jolly Ranchers. What's funny is that we'll be the ones buying Jolly Ranchers for our dames (not to imply that they'll be 13) at the Scream 4 release. And while they suck away on cherry flavored heroin we'll be sitting in our seats thinking, "what the fuck have I been doing wrong these past 5 years of my life that i've come full circle and am watching this shit with this broad...i better get some sexual healing when we get back to her place, FUCK THIS!" on Sep 02 2005 04:56 PM Why!!! hollywood seems hellbent on ruining every succesful franchise ever made. if they do make one we can only pray for a boxoffice gross lower than 50 million so the madness will finnally end. (Reply to this) |
