Trailer Bulletin: Oliver Twist
by Scott Weinberg | September 08, 2005
Discuss Article
It may be the 412th cinematic adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic tale, but this is the only version of "Oliver Twist" to be directed by Mr. Roman Polanski. Have a look at the trailer for the film right here.

Adapted by screenwriter Ronald Harwood ("Being Julia," "The Pianist") and starring Ben Kingsley, Barney Clark, Jamie Foreman, Harry Eden, and Sir Cedric Hardwicke, the PG-13 rated "Oliver Twist" opens on September 30th.

Cedric Hardwicke???!!!
Uh, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, one of the great character actors of all time, who first appeared in a movie in 1913 (according to IMDB), has been dead since 1964 and would be about 112 years old (literally) now.

It's actually EDWARD Hardwicke, who is Sir Cedric's son. He is no spring chicken himself, born in 1932.
