Darth Vader & Sue Storm to "Wake" Up Together
by Scott Weinberg | November 08, 2005
Discuss Article
The Hollywood Reporter informs that Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba will co-star in the medical thriller "Awake," from first-time director Joby Harold. Lena Olin, Sam Robards, and Terrence Howard will also star.

"GreeneStreet Films and the Weinstein Co. are co-financing writer Joby Harold's directorial debut, in which Christensen plays a victim of "anesthetic awareness," in which a patient remains awake but paralyzed during surgery.

Production began Oct. 31 in New York. Olin and Robards play Christensen's parents, and Alba plays his wife, who's facing her own demons. Howard plays the heart surgeon who leads the operation."

Now we'll find out once and for all if Christensen can act or not with this once in a lifetime role. At least he won't have any cheesey lines!

Hayden Christensen will always be remebered as darth vader no matter what role he tries to play. If I believed that I can be a great actor after something that big, i dont think i would put my trust in a movie that jessica alba is in. Thats just asking for trouble and a bad career.

I like Christensen, as for movies outside of Star Wars I thought that he did a damn good job in Life as a House. This sounds like it could be good, plus Howard is awsome and Alba is allright.

I think Hayden Christensen will have a Mark Hamill career, compared to Ewan MacGregor's Harrison Ford career...

Hayden Christensen was really good in "Shattered Glass" for those who haven't seen it.

I disagree... I think Hayden Christensen is going to have himself a pretty good career... he actually is a great actor... and all it takes is a couple other big movies and he won't be known ONLY as Darth Vader, which I still don't see him as, I only see him as Anakin.

yeah i think Hayden Chistensen is a pretty good actor you can't really blame him for his Anakin dialogue not being great blame George Lucas but i still think he did a better job in ROTS. Hayden really shows potential in Life as a House and Shattered Glass he did a pretty amazing job delivering those roles.

Im not a hayden hater. I am a HUGE star wars fan . Episode III was my favorite movies of all time and the original trillogy is also on that list. I do agree that he is a good actor and yes, the diolouge in the first trilliogy was bad. In Epiosde III, i'd have to say he was the best actor on the movie (Besides Mc Dermid, he blew my mind as sedious). And YES, he will still be know as Darth Vader through his carrer, but thats a good thing in my opinion and the refrense of his carrer being like Mark hamill's was a good meaphor.

I think that Hayden Christensen is a great actor. He is young but definately has what it takes to make it as an actor. he has been in other movies besides Star wars and all though he will be known forever as Darth Vader that does not mean he does not have or will have other memorable roles. I thought he did an excellent job in Life As A house. i think he will be an actor to keep your eyes on in the future.
