Take a Peek at Milla's "Ultraviolet" -- But Only One
ComingSoon.net has posted the first production still from Kurt Wimmer's long-awaited sci-fi action flick "Ultraviolet," which stars Milla Jovovich, Nick Chinlund, William Fichtner, and Cameron Bright.
"Set in the late 21st century, a subculture of humans have emerged who have been modified genetically by a vampire-like disease (Hemophagia), giving them enhanced speed, incredible stamina and acute intelligence, and as they are set apart from "normal" and "healthy" humans, the world is pushed to the brink of worldwide civil war (a war between humans and hemophages) aimed at the destruction of the "diseased" population.
In the middle of this crossed-fire is - an infected woman - Ultraviolet (Jovovich), who finds herself protecting a nine-year-old boy who has been marked for death by the human government as he is believed to be a threat to humans."
No word yet on a firm release date for "Ultraviolet," but it should certainly hit theaters before mid-2006. We hope. In the meantime, here's a publicity photo to keep you Milla-fied.

on Nov 28 2005 02:13 PM Hmm guns with daggers attached to the bottom o_O I read on AICN that this movie has some cool action scenes, but everything else sucks. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 28 2005 02:22 PM It sounds ok, nothing great, but I do like Jovovich, Fichtner, and Bright. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 28 2005 07:03 PM ENOUGH WITH THE STYLIZED ACTION/HORROR/SCI-FI BULL gee, another film with a superpowered Milla Jovovich shooting guns and saving the world and involving another virus that creates supernatural creatures? can you say "typecasting"? i'll pass on this one. so lemme get this straight: if Resident Evil was a Matrix rip-off and Underworld was a Resident Evil rip-off, i guess Ultraviolet is a movie ripping off a movie that was ripping off another movie that was ripping off yet another movie, starring the actress that was in the film being ripped off by the film Ultraviolet is ripping off...damn, the lack of creativity is dizzying. ![]() on Nov 28 2005 09:18 PM regardless, she shoulda been aeon flux. she woulda squeezed in that outfit that charlize the prude turned down. that movie is gonna suck, but at least milla woulda been in it. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Dec 01 2005 10:40 AM Ultraviolet = Underworld?? Hope there are a lot more in the script than what's been described here, otherwise it will just be a Underworld rip-off (which I am sure is also a rip-off of another movie). However, I do like her as a model; but at some point in her career, she need to realize she need a lot more than just beauty to be successful in showbiz. I suggest a boob job from 34-D to 36-DD, unless she can actually act then a 34-D would be good enough. (Reply to this) |
