Nemesis was so god awful that I hope this next movie involves a time warp that reverses the events of that film.

Even the worse Star Trek movie is better than most of what's passing for good sci fi these days, so I say bring it on. Another voyage on the Enterprise wouldn't hurt about now.

Dracus, has you ever watched the new Battlestar Galactica? That is definitley good sci-fi.

One more Star Trek movie could work, as long as they wrap things up and make this the LAST one. What number would this be, like Star Trek 13 or something by now?

Before making Nemesis, they considered a movie combining some of the TNG, DS9 and VOY crew; I guess that's what they might think about right now, another strict TNG movie seems rather unlikely after Nemesis.

There are a few ideas. One script being looked at is a new crew set after Enterprise and before Classic Trek. It is said to involve a significant event in early Federation, rumors are the Romulan War.

God forbid they make a Trek film that actually deals with "boldly going where no one has gone before".

Well, yeah, that was due to a horrendous script... and gag-worthy effects... among other things... but considering that that was the motto of the entire franchise, they should at least give it another shot. And no temporal plots. It's called Star Trek, not Time Trek.

I'm in a mood for a Star Trek flick. Enterprise on TV sucks so bad, it makes my stomach hurt. Nemesis wasn't all that great either. The cast is always great, they just need a good storyline this time.

The cast is good, but the budget for those industrial-strength girdles has got to be hampering production, don't you think?

As a former Trek fanatic, I was a little disappointed in Nemesis. I say only a "little" because I spent the entire film laughing my head off at its absurdity.

The best part of Nemesis was when Admiral Janeway made an appearance. People want to see DS9 and Voyager included in these movies. The best idea that I heard was out there brought the crews of TNG and Voyager to DS9 to battle a resurging Dominion. If done right we could still get all the characters we loved in what could be a great final film chapter for the Star Trek franchise, instead of the wimper that Nemesis went out with.

P.S. - Wasn't there supposed to be a Babylon 5 film in the making? Anybody know what happened with that project?

Nemisis was such a let down for the cast of TNG which really made such an impact when it was on tv.

That show was loved. The moves..yuk.

I regretted seeing this movie as soon as I entered. Star Trek is no Star Wars. And believe it or not, I wouldn't call Star Wars that great either.

of course star trek isn't star wars. They are exploring drastically different spectrums of the sci-fi genre. I personally would prefer the TNG cast and Shatner is still alive! ( they did this time wrap tv movie before...i think it was called star trek generaions. It asn;t too bad for a tv movie) I believe that it is preety much the same with other fans when i say i'm only familiar with TNG as its the best series of the bunch. (Pardon me for this sweeping statement.) And oh by the way, i dun think it is wise to associate any Star Trek fan with Star Wars.

"I believe that it is preety much the same with other fans when i say i'm only familiar with TNG as its the best series of the bunch. (Pardon me for this sweeping statement.)"

First, any bonified Star Trek fan has watched every series. Original, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise. I gues you can include the weird animated series in tehre, but I won't.

Anyway, there were three reasons Strar Trek 10 failed. First, story. What has been the most under played part of star wars history? The Romulans and Federation have never had an all out war. That is what I wanted in a movie centering around Romulans. Not cloning. Not Remans. Federation and Romulans have to have it out. Either that, or take the perfect story arc from the TNG show with Spock and work to change up the Romulan people. Civil war between purists and ones getting back in touch wth Vulcan ancestors.

Second, Star Wars, Attack of the Clones had come out that summer. It was too much cloning. AND Picards clone looked nothing like him. What, just cause he's bald, that makes him Picard's clone?

Third. We all knew Data dies before the movie was even released. Worst kept secret in Hollywood. It loses that punch when you know its going to happen. Compare to Star Trek 2. Wide rumors were known about Spock dying. Then they twisted it in the beginning by having him die fakely, only to die for real at the end. Good move. There was also time to say goodbye, wheras data blows up in two seconds and then nothing. But, there is B9, or whatever that other one is. He could come back, but just act goofy.

Anyway, they need to just blow sh*t up, warp to distant lands, and stop with this oowie gooie crap.
