Summary

You may have seen the first "V for Vendetta" trailer by now, since the flick was originally scheduled for an early November release, but the thing now seems locked in for March 17th. And with the new release date comes a new marketing strategy, as evidenced by this all-new trailer at Quicktime. Back to Article

I have heard absolutely nothing but praise for this film. I just hope its as politically controversial and socially relevant as everybody says. March 17th!!! Gives me time to read the graphic novel.

As a citizen of the film's setting, I can guarantee that it's going to ruffle a lot of feathers. While the idea of bombs going off in London makes me queasy (I was about 200 yds around the corner from the Tavistock Square blast in July), it will still be interesting to see where the film will lead my sympathies, and how it will differ from Moore's admirable book.

I hope WB release this and The Fountain quite close to each other - they could earn themselves a solid reputation for intelligent SF.

Cautiously looking forward to it.

Cool trailer. Vendetta screened last weekend and truly there has been nothing but immense praise for the finished product. Lot's of rave reviews from the toughest audience: skeptic fans of Moore's original material. They LOVE this movie! I'm gonna go post some reviews on the V4V forum.

WB should advertise Vendetta on politcal blogs like Daily Kos and Newshounds and the Free Republic, and send Portman around to the politcal talk shows to talk about terrorism and freedom.

Even more visuals to set this as being a FANTASTIC, ACCURATE adaption.
sure, there will be some fat trimmed from the prose of V but that will make people read/reread the book.

That sucks FluxCapacitor, 200 yards is pretty close. This does look good and I hope Weaving kicks ass.

I agree it turned out to be a bum year at the end. V for Vendetta is high on my anticipation list -- bring on March.

The time will be ripe for it's release with the government spying on citizens, secret torture prisons, and of course the War of Terror and continuing terrorism.

How did the Holiday Season suck? There were many good films. King Kong, Syriana, Narnia, Walk The Line, were all incredible and the New weekend releases of Munich and The Producers should be a blast. So this season was pretty good in my book.
