Trailer Bulletin: The Shaggy Dog
by Scott Weinberg | December 20, 2005
Discuss Article
Anyone up for a Disney remake of "The Shaggy Dog," starring Tim Allen? The one about a guy who turns into a dog? Anyone? If you're brave enough to check out this trailer, please do leave a comment, and make it something more creative than "Argh, my eyes!," because I already used that one.

Plot synopsis? "Dave learns a valuable lesson about truth and appearances when quite unexpectedly he finds himself changed into a sheepdog."

Cast? Tim Allen, Kristin Davis, Danny Glover, Craig Kilborn, and Robert Downey Jr. (I know; weird, isn't it?)

Director? Only the man who brought you "The Perfect Score," "Hardball," "Ready to Rumble," "Varsity Blues," and "Good Burger."

"The Shaggy Dog." March 10th. Be there.

Argh...my eyes!
I saw a trailer for this in the theaters and I realized I would rather be stabbed to death with a spork than EVER sit through a Tim Allen movie.

The trailer got a few chuckles out of me but that's it. It does not look like a very appealing movie in my opinion. I believe I speak for everyone when I say, Tim Allen, what have you done with your career? You were so cool on Home Improvment and did great with The Santa Clause. It seems like since then he's just been making truely forgetable films!

LOL, good one zombie. At least the next time Robert Downey Jr gets arrested and sent to rehab, he can blame it all on The Shaggy Dog. God knows I'd need drugs to watch it, let alone make it.

i rented kronks new groove and they had an"EXCLUSIVE BEHIND-THE-SCENES LOOK" at the shaggy dog, and the funniest thing about it it was when asked what the hardest thing about being a dog was, tim allen replied, "having to smell everything". then i realized he wasn't joking........

For the kids
I think kids will like it... that is who the movie is being made for. I would have wanted to see it when I was a kid. Parents may have to struggle through it but it isn't for them it's for the kids.

Not every kids movie can be as incredible as a Pixar movie. Kids like bright and colorful things, animals, and physical comedy. This movie looks like it has it all.
