Another One of Those Darn Family Vacations...
by Scott Weinberg | December 20, 2005
Discuss Article
We've been waiting patiently and now, finally, comes news from The Hollywood Reporter regarding a sequel that will rock the whole universe. Yes, it's time for "Johnson Family Vacation 2."

"The Johnson family is hitting the road again. Fox Searchlight is moving forward with a sequel to "Johnson Family Vacation" and has tapped Wayne Conley to write it. A follow-up to last year's low-budget comedy that earned more than $31 million domestically, "Johnson Family Vacation 2" is expected to pick up where the Johnsons' holiday ended. The first film, which starred Cedric the Entertainer, followed the Johnson family on their cross-country trek to their annual family reunion. Cedric the Entertainer is expected to reprise his role."

Finally! all the questions will be answered! Is Marv really dead? What did Jessica Alba do once Bruce Willis killed himself? Is Rosario Dawson still a lesbian vampire-like lady?

...oh wait....That's Sin City, nevermind

This movie should start out with the Johnsons driving on the side of a cliff when all of a sudden the Grizwalls come out of nowhere and run them off the cliff & their car explodes...from the crazy explosion the camera then pans to Chevy Chase as he says."Hollywood is only big enough fro ONE family vacation BITCHES!"...credits role AND THE END!

I completely agree! Although, Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 are great!! (I'm assuming on the 2nd one). I watched this and thought it would be good, it was OK...but only ONCE! The 2nd will suck and it better be the last!

Idiotic.
Oh, dear God. Why? You know, for two whole weeks I was joyous. No unnecessary sequels had been announced. In two whole weeks. But the idiocy that many call Hollywood thwarted the silence once more and has delivered a very moronic sequel in a bright yellow box with fancy trim.

Sigh. =/
