Trailer Bulletin: Nacho Libre
From Jared Hess (director of "Napoleon Dynamite"), Mike White (writer of "School of Rock"), and the always-insane Jack Black comes "Nacho Libre," a comedy about a Mexican priest who moonlights as a goofy wrestler to save an orphanage from disclosure. Check out the all-new trailer right here.
"Nacho (Jack Black) is a young man who was raised in a Mexican monastery in Oaxaca and now works there as the cook, and takes it upon himself to rescue the holy place from financial ruin by joining a local Lucha Libre tournament and becoming one of the 'Luchadores'. Naturally, Nacho isn't acting out of purely altruistic measures, as he wishes to help Sister Encarnacion (Ana de la Reguera), a beautiful Mexican nun who has recently arrived at the monastery, as well as the gaggle of young orphans who live there."
The Paramount production will be unleashed on June 2nd. (Mr. Black's "Tenacious D" flick is scheduled for release on November 17th, by the way.)

on Feb 10 2006 08:51 PM In reply to this comment (#831018) SERIOUSLY. Why can't trailer sites use the same codec we get here at Tomatoes??? Trailers load up way faster... even when we don't want them to. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2006 06:15 AM It worked fine for me in Firefox It looks like a funny movie, a mix between School of Rock and Napoleon Dynamite. I think it will be one of those movies that requires you to see it twice before it really becomes funny. Napoleon Dynamite is that way -- after the first showing you're not really impressed, but then you watch it a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet and you just can't contain yourself. I suppose after this movie comes out everyone will be quoting it. Gosh! (Reply to this) |
