Sam Jackson to Return Home from Iraq
Variety reports on a new collaboration between the ever-busy Samuel L. Jackson and veteran filmmaker Irwin Winkler."Home of the Brave" will tell the tale of three American soldiers who return home from the war in Iraq, only to discover that getting their old lives back on track is a whole lot tougher than it sounds.
"Samuel L. Jackson will topline director Irwin Winkler's Iraqi wartime drama "Home of the Brave" for Winkler's production company and Emmett/Furla Films.
Story, from a screenplay by Mark Friedman, revolves around three soldiers who struggle to readjust to normal life after returning home from a lengthy tour in Iraq. Jackson will play a doctor who tries to resume his routine, only to find himself unraveling.
Winkler will begin shooting next month in Morocco. Production will then move to Spokane, Wash.
Jessica Biel, Christina Ricci and Brian Presley also are set to star in the feature, while Curtis "50 Cent" Johnson is in final negotiations."

Sinizine writes: on Feb 10 2006 05:52 PM What the? Didn't Sam Jackson have a feud with 50 cent? He refused to be in Get Rich or Die Tryin because he doesn't like musiciains turned actors solely on their fame. And they both trash talked each other. C'mon Jackson, that was your only cool thing left about you after The Man. (Reply to this) |

wilkiedriver writes: on Feb 11 2006 12:04 AM Biel or Brewster...pick your poison. Biel in another military movie? "Stealth" not good enough for you? Ricci...no way. I couldn't believe her (IF SHE WILL BE) as someone to serve this country. Mr. Curtis Jackson would be easier to believe for me than those two. Now SCARLETT JOHANSSON would be someone I'd go for.
