Trailer Bulletin: Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector
by Scott Weinberg | March 16, 2006
Discuss Article
Yep, Larry the Cable Guy got his own movie. And here's a unique and clever twist: Instead of playing a cable guy, he gets to be a harried health inspector who wreaks havoc at various restaurants. And no, this isn't a direct-to-video title. Check out the trailer for "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector" here.

"Irreverent as ever, Larry plays a big city health inspector who's happy with his usual beat of greasy spoon diners and low-rent ethnic restaurants. But his easygoing life is turned upside-down when he's saddled with a straight-arrow rookie partner and assigned the biggest case of his career: investigating an outbreak of mysterious food poisonings at the city's swankiest restaurants. Infuriating restaurateurs with his bad manners, Larry still manages to charm a sweet, shy waitress into a budding romance. But when his unorthodox methods cost him his job, Larry has to go undercover to bring the conspirators to justice and 'Git-R-Done!'"

Co-starring Iris Bahr, Megyn Price, Bruce Bruce, Tony Hale, Lisa Lampanelli, David Koechner, Joe Pantoliano, and Joanna Cassidy, "Health Inspector" hits theaters on March 24th.

Probably the presidential kind.

This film will be huge in the "Red" States.

"Larry"'s real name is Dan Whitney or something similar. He attended a prep school in florida, and he has no accent. He is so unsouthern it's outstanding.

And he's not funny at all. I'm calling this movie will get a 06% on the tomatoemeter, and 6 only because there are some people who gave crap like White Chicks good reviews.

in all fairness, i am from the south and i find some of his humor to be slightly funny. but yeah i think this will be a success for red areas and also in my hometown of "git-r-done"linburg tn. where you can't swing a dead cat without seeing git-r-done on merchendise. >=p

This movie will open up probably at number 3 next week, with either "Inside Man" or "V For Vendetta" taking the top spot.

If you haven't read David Cross' open letter to Mr. The Cable Guy, check it out: http://bobanddavid.com/david.asp?artID=183

The worst part about this piece of crap is that Tony Hale, our beloved Buster, is in it. I really hope AD gets picked up by Showtime so we can get talented and funny actors out of B-list movies and back on to A-list TV where they belong!

Why the hell is Pantoliano in this, he might not be the greatest but he is a real actor.

Larry Attacks Lighten Up
I am never surprised to see the haters attack someone that they feel isn't funny or isn't a good actor. They all have nothing better then to cry about something that they haven't even seen yet, like Larry's movie. It doesn't even come out till Friday! If you don't like the man and that's fine then why are you here reading about his new movie and condeming him before it's even out. Thank god that the book burners don't run this country and we live in a republic. If I think the man is funny then I will watch it. He talks about people being gay, fat, chinese, retarded, it's funny. He is not a politician or a religious leader. He is an entertainer. I've watched comedians from all walks of life. I enjoy many of them. Lighten up people. Enjoy life. We know you are smarter and superior to the rest of us and enjoy commenting on this stuff in negative fashion, but if you want to enjoy life and not grow up to be old and grumpy without friends then you need to laugh. If not Larry then someone else.

What locale do you have to be from to feel embaras
You feel embarrassed for Dan Whitney? You should feel embarrassed about the fact that you are commenting on a comedian that you don't like, starring in a movie you haven't seen. Then you try to be funny and put down southern people who you are guessing are his only fans? Well I'm from New Jersey, but people down South are having a lot more fun then you or I are right now. One because you are wasting time with silly remarks and, I for commenting on them. I'm beginning to understand your embarrassment though. I bet you are the life of any party.

what kind of a person writes a paragraph on a messageboard in response to a one-sentence line about someone who is voicing their own opinion about a comedian? I feel embarassed for you.. its just a messageboard, people are going to talk shit... get over it.
