First Look At "Snakes On A Plane"!

The first trailer for the notoriously well-titled "Snakes On A Plane," which is about -- you guessed it -- snakes let loose on a plane, is making the rounds online. Check out badass Samuel L. Jackson telling a bunch of slithery reptiles who's boss.

New Line Cinema didn't know what it had back when the pic was still titled "Pacific Air Flight 121," but now that they've given the creature thriller a much better name, everyone's excited to see it. Although "Snakes" won't slither into theaters until August 18, fansite TagWorld's got the first teaser trailer up, for your viewing pleasure.

It's got snakes, it's got a plane, and it's got Sam Jackson delivering a bone-chilling line: "Enough is enough. I've had it with these snakes." You know what that means; these deadly killers are about to feel Jackson's wrath -- thank goodness he's come aboard the flight packing heat. They're everywhere on the plane: in the overhead compartments, in a doomed kitty's carrier box, in the freaking light fixtures, in a lady's bra! Thank you, director David Ellis (the former stuntman who also helmed "Cellular," "Final Destination 2," and "Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco").

The synopsis: ""Snakes On A Plane" stars Samuel L. Jackson as an unlucky air traveler who finds himself trapped on a flight full of, yes, deadly snakes, which have been planted there to kill a crucial government witness."

You have to respect New Line and Sam Jackson for keeping the title which is genius in its own way. People must get behind this. I mean, SNAKES. on a PLANE. with Sam Jackson. how can you possibly beat that?

Ok, this trailer is a burner - even though the snakes are poorly CG!! What I find most amazing, however, is what kinda buzz this movie is already generating - just because of the title! Can't also wait to see "Tarantula on a Train" or "Spiders in Space"!!! And even imagine what other crap movies Hollywood can sell us now as long as they have fantastic titles...

One more thing, it's a bit of a downbeat that Julianna Margulies is also onboard. So someone at least desperately needed some money here ;-)

That looks terrible. The terrible that makes you want to wear a Groucho Mark disguise to the theater, so none of your avant-garde film-geek friends see you, and go see it anyway. There's just something so unassuming about the title. Yea, this movie is stupid, yes it's formulaic dribble, and yes the acting is laughable, but it's snakes, on a plane. You know what you are going to get. The throwback adventure Indiana Jones font is killer too.

With effin' Jules Winnfield heading this one up, I'm calling $150 million.
