Cindy_Lou_Who writes: on Mar 23 2006 02:51 PM I don't know about anyone else, but with the way he's been force feeding us that Scientology crap, I’m finding it hard to separate Tom Cruise’s personal beliefs from his professional life. Because of that I have absolutely no interest in seeing Mission Impossible III. Like Travolta and Isaac Hayes, Cruise has crossed the line and unless they learn to keep their big mouths shut, they might as well join Michael Jackson in Bahrain because everyone will get sick of them. dracus writes: on Mar 24 2006 04:08 AM In reply to this comment (#832626) True, but I think Cindy's point is that these days it appears that actors like Cruise, Travolta and Hayes either cannot or will not distinguish the difference between their roles as actors and real life. They're using their fame and power to preach Scientology and if you don't believe that Tom Cruise had anything to do with Comedy Centrals last minute decision to not replay the Scientology episode this week, then you are the one who is sad, not Cindy. Ashron writes: on Mar 24 2006 06:39 AM I agree with you Dracus, but I think that most people (film geeks like us aside) could care less about Tom Cruise's personal life. As long as the movie is exciting and entertaining, they won't care. The movie will be good, despite what gbwillner says, and it will make boatloads of money. I'm torn, because Cruise is irritating, but I like most of the other actors, and JJ Abhrams should do a good job. I'll wait for the reviews :-) (Reply to this) |

dracus writes: on Mar 24 2006 07:24 AM In reply to this comment (#832633) I'm also torn, because I've always been a Tom Cruise fan and I for one thought he got an unfair rap for War of the Worlds. I actually thought he handled the role of an estranged father pretty good. I guess like Cindy, I'm pissed over the way he's killing his career with his furniture jumping, psychiatrist criticizing, strong arm Scientology shit. I believe she's right in that regard. He really needs to take something to calm himself down before he joins MJ in Bahrain LOL (Reply to this) |

Anyways, if people cannot seperate Tom Cruise from his beliefs thats pretty darn sad. If only we could have that sort of attitude against politicians... (Reply to this) |
