Robin Williams Has a "License to Wed"

WB has signed veteran goofball Robin Williams and singing star Mandy Moore to star in their upcoming romantic comedy "License to Wed," a feature that might stand as the leading-man debut of sarcastic "Office" star John Krasinski.

According to Variety, "Warner Bros. has set Robin Williams and Mandy Moore to star in "License to Wed," a romantic comedy that will begin shooting in L.A. and Mexico in May. John Krasinski is in early talks to play Moore's love interest.

Ken Kwapis is directing the pic, co-financed by Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures.

Story revolves around a young couple whose wedding plans are interrupted when the pushy minister (Williams) of the bride's family church orders the pair to complete a two-week prenup course. They must pass the class if they want to marry in his church. The groom fails the course and loses the girl but fights to win her back."

Kwapis' previous films include "Vibes," "He Said, She Said," "Dunston Checks In," "The Beautician and the Beast," and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."

I take it that Hollywood is quickly running out of ideas for romantic comedies these days!

Anything from Warner Bors. studio appears to be dumb. All they have is Harry Potter and Ocean's which you see if there is nothing else at the movies that weekend. Robin Williams isn't funny-and no one wants to see this! It isnt the lease bit exciting. This is why W.B. shows are canceled before they even hit t.v.
