Meet Some More of the "Cars" Cast!
Are you, like me, a ravenous Pixar junkie who simply cannot WAIT for the studio's next release? (In this case, Cars!) If so, head on over to IGN FilmForce for a peek at some cool character promos or Dark Horizons for some slick new poster art.
"The story follows Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson), a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed. He soon discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. On route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town's offbeat characters -including Sally (a snazzy 2002 Porsche voiced by Bonnie Hunt), Doc Hudson (a 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past, voiced by Paul Newman), and Mater (a rusty but trusty tow truck voiced by Larry the Cable Guy) - who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship."

Cars hits theaters on June 9th.

on Apr 16 2006 10:25 PM Larry the Cable Guy is kind of disappointing because now I think of those stupid Health Inspector movie trailers everytime his name is mentioned. Oh well. How I see it, every movie that Pixar has made has been a huge success, and each one seems to be an improvement on the previous one. I wonder if Cars will live up to that standard? It's hard to imagin a movie that's better than The Incredibles. Maybe Cars will be the first step backwards for them. I've always thought that they didn't put a lot of effort into this movie like they did the previous ones because this movie was last on the list to fill their quota for Disney and they just wanted to gett'erdone.
