CS.net & Fox bring word that the official website for "X-Men: The Last Stand" is now open for business. Clickers can pick through character profiles, screen-shots, downloads, and (of course) trailers.

Fox press release: "20th Century Fox has launched the full official 'X-Men: The Last Stand' site at X-MenTheLastStand.com.

The site features an eXcellent Flash intro that brings you to a X browser which provides you with quick access to all the content on the site. On the left-hand side of the browser you'll find one of the best features, a pull-out which features profiles, photos and downloads for all the mutants as well as cool animations for each when you scroll over them. The browser includes a "Mutant Connection" search as well, so be sure to try it out! You can also use the "X" navigation menu to access the downloads (wallpapers, AIM icons & mobile content), trailers, gallery and movie info. More content will be added to site through the release date.

In 'X-Men: The Last Stand' the climax of the "X-Men" motion picture trilogy, a "cure" for mutancy threatens to alter the course of history. For the first time, mutants have a choice: retain their uniqueness, though it isolates and alienates them, or give up their powers and become human. The opposing viewpoints of mutant leaders Charles Xavier, who preaches tolerance, and Magneto, who believes in the survival of the fittest, are put to the ultimate test – triggering the war to end all wars.

Directed by Brett Ratner, the anticipated sequel stars Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin, Kelsey Grammer, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Shawn Ashmore, Aaron Stanford, Vinnie Jones, Ben Foster and Patrick Stewart."

It works fine. Might I suggest a faster connection and Firefox 1.5? Loads quickly on my wireless DSL connection. Site looks good too.
