Trailer Bulletin: New Full-Fledged "Cars" Trailer
by Scott Weinberg | May 11, 2006
Blog Article | Discuss Article
We've seen a few different trailers so far, but here's the first full-fledged theatrical trailer for Disney / Pixar's "Cars," which is sure to cause a big uproar among the kindergarten crowd in early June.

"Lightning McQueen, a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. McQueen gets to know the town’s offbeat characters- who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies."

The typically expansive cast includes Paul Newman, Owen Wilson, George Carlin, Cheech Marin, Bonnie Hunt, Michael Keaton, Katherine Helmond, and (yep) John Ratzenberger.

This is pretty much the entire story! This is definitely the best trailer so far.

I was a little worried at first. I mean, after the first trailer I was thinking that this might not have the originality of Pixars other films.

But I'm feeling better about this movie.

More than anything, I can't wait to see Click & Clack -- the tap-it brothers -- from Car Talk on NPR.
