"Cars" Gallery Updated With Exclusive Pics
by Binh Ngo | May 30, 2006
Discuss Article
We have in our possession seven exclusive pics from Disney/Pixar's forthcoming "Cars," and they show some of the action scenes during one of the big races. The red one with number 95 emblazoned on the doors and that unmistakable grin is of course our hero Lightning McQueen, who'll learn an important life lesson during his forced stay at Radiator Springs.

"Cars" is the latest animated feature from Pixar and is directed by John Lasseter. The story centers on a cocky up-and-comer named Lightning McQueen who ends up in a debilitated town populated by colorful characters. Celebrity voices include Owen Wilson (Lightning McQueen), Larry the Cable Guy (Mater), Bonnie Hunt (Sally), Paul Newman (Doc Hudson), and racing legend Richard Petty (The King). "Cars" will be in theaters June 9th. Check out these pics and others in the "Cars" photo gallery.

Pixar must have a whole team of people just sitting in a room, thinking up car puns to put on promotional posters.

I'm excited to see this movie.

Talk about some serious promotion!

Nice artwork overall. I think the parking space poster communicated the most.

The film stills are all strong(although in the race scenes, or whenever there are many cars in a shot, the cars feel a bit like toys). But I'm really looking forward to this, as I'm STILL waiting for a great film this summer! I have a feeling it will be either Cars, Superman, Pirates . . . or all three.

Piston Cup . . . . . =)
