Julia Stiles Back with the "Bourne" Brigade
by Scott Weinberg | May 30, 2006
Discuss Article
ComingSoon.net's Edward Douglas had a little chat with Julia Stiles during her "Omen" press junket, and the lovely young lady dropped some very good news regarding her return to the "Bourne" series.

From CS.net: "I'm going to be in it," she confirmed to ComingSoon.net. "Paul Greengrass is going to direct it. Matt Damon and Joan Allen are going to be back too, and it's going through so many incarnations of scripts. I think I was lucky to not die in the last one, but I just don't know if I'm going to be good or bad."

Click here for a bunch more.

The first two entries in the series are "The Bourne Identity" and "The Bourne Supremacy." The next (and probably last) chapter will be "The Bourne Ultimatum."

(Perhaps Jason Bourne could get the Stiles character pregnant, and then Part 4 could be called "The Unborn Identity.")

I love Julia Stiles! (don't worry, my wife knows about it)

I was really disappointed in how they wrote her character in Bourne 2. I'm thinking specifically of the scene where Jason Bourne had her at gunpoint, and she started crying and falling apart out of fear.

Wouldn't it be cool if Julia Stiles' character kept her cool? And when Jason Borne pulled a gun on her, she quickly disarmed him with a fast-handed, secret-agent move. He’d look surprised and then she’d hand him back his gun with just a look on her face that said, “You’re not the only one with skills my friend.” And then he would realize that she was just like him – a highly-trained agent. And then he’d be even more surprised when she helped him escape.

Both he and the audience would see that in fact her character sympathized with him the entire time. And unbeknownst to her superiors, she would be his ally – someone he could trust in the next movie perhaps.

this is one of my favorite movie series. Supremacy was extremely well done and i'm very much looking forward to this one.

I did like the first two movies
My problem is I'm still waiting for Bourne to realize he's david Webb, marry Marie(oh wait they killed her), and have his showdown with Carlos the jackal. I mean I know movies go back and forth andthey aren't exactly the same, but main plot points and main characters in the third book have already been killed. they should have just made this a spy trilogy and not tried to tie the Bourne name to it.

but you forget...
the 3rd book sucked. Here's what i want you to do. Go through the book and see exactly how many exlamation points there are. There are about a billion. Everything is so startling or surprising. it's annoying.

Great!
This serie is awesome, I loved the second one. And it's excellent news that Julia Stiles & Joan Allen are back.

I wouldn't worry about the 3rd book, because the films have not exactly followed the book's storyline.

I can't wait!!!

Not cool.
You'd prolly start crying if Jason Bourne was pointing a gun at your head too. She's CIA secretary, not a Black Ops agent. It was good acting on her part, I was impressed. And well written as being realistic. Unlike you're secret agent fantasy.

Hey are you the real Uwe Boll?? Cuz if you are you've made some pretty cool movies....like ummm Bloodrayne and ummm, cough Alone in the Dark...maybe. But if you're not, I highly recommend a change of screen name. Cuz you're toting yourself as the worst director in Hollywood today....just a thought.
