You're saying this based on a poster and a website that is just a flash version of said poster?

The website actually made me laugh, it's so amazingly tacky. And until I see something otherwise, my hopes for an even passable Transformers flick are gone.

My fuzzy childhood memories are dying, one horrible movie at a time, and somehow I don't think Michael Bay is going to turn that aro9und.

How can your fuzzy childhood memories be dying? They are only being made right now. Do you have some sort of medical condition or something like that guy in memento?

Anyway, I like the poster and am excited about this movie. I'll give the man some credit unless I see a really bad teaser or something.

I don't have time to look up the others, but there you go. And I don't see how they are being made right now, unless you think Transformers is going to take me back in time on a magical journey to my childhood.

The more I think about it, the more I think, what's stopping this from turning into the American Godzilla? You know, where the character (or in this case characters) the film is named after are barely in the film in favor of the actors? And with the big cast here, it's shaping up to be that way.

The only thing I CAN think of even moderatly protecting this is that Michael Bay loves him some explosions, and Transformers are the quickest route to mayhem and unnessecary shakey-cam.

Did Michael Bay wrong you in a former life or something? Sometimes I get the feeling people are merely envious of his talent when they are so hostile. Well , maybe you should just stay home and don't bother with the film if you think it's going to be that horrible of an experience for you and see something else next summer that's more to your liking. That way, you save seats for people who actually want to see the film (and there will be many).

I'm sorry, but what talent? Michael Bay hasn't made a good movie since "The Rock". And I'm getting tired of you guys saying he's the perfect director for this, or he's the only one who can pull it off...shut up! Have any of you heard of James Cameron, Peter Jackson, or Steven Spielberg (who happens to be producing the film.) I only hope Spielberg ends up pulling a "Poltergeist" and takes the reigns for Michael Bay. Bay will load this film up with mindless special effects that won't mean a thing. Spielberg on the other hand knows exactly how to use sfx to his advantage without compromising story or characters. Oh, and don't even get me started on the cast...

You know, I happen to like Miachael Bay films for what they are, very fun. But seriously, this movie could be really bad. Look, Michael Bay does well with fun science fiction, action, etc (see The Island). Does bad with emotion, relationships, characters (see Pearl Harbor). So, we'll see how this goes, but the teaser poster isn't too bad. But it isn't like Bay actually made that himself, you've got to be totally messed up to screw up a teaser poster.

Most of Bay's characters are robots. He might do OK with emotion this time out. ;)

Very nice site, my hopes are getting higher by the minute. I don't care what everyone else thinks, Michael Bay is the perfect person to pull off this film. The only other person I could have imagined doing Transformers right would have been Roland Emmerich. Good tagline too, even though it is pretty similar to AVP's second tagline "It's our planet, it's their war."

Michael Bay is the only man in Hollywood capable of handling the scale of a Transformers fight. And with Steven Spielberg behind him, anything is possible.

This is one movie that i think michael bay should direct. Robotic acting, everything is huge, explosions galore. Its not like a want a deep stroyline with major character development. Its fucking transformers.

I really want to like this movie. But Michael bay has disappointed me with Armageddon wore me out wth The Rock and Bored me with Pearl harbor. Didn't waste time to see the Island. The Movie Poster and the Teaser Website intrigues me but.....I still like the 30 minute toy commerical of a 80's TV show.

isn't the countdown on the website missing a whole year?
it's out in 2007, yet the countdown says 25 days... maybe for the trailer or something...

The countdown is for the teaser... but at this point of filming, I think that the teaser will be as substantially strong as "Dreamgirls" teaser, not as good as, let's say, X3 teaser, so I'm not expecting it that much. Hope I'm wrong and that we get in the teaser a taste of the CGI of the morphing !

I'll pass judgement (though I thouroughly dislike Michael Bay) until I see a trailer that shows off a little something of the actual film. Until then, I'll just hope that Spielberg's backing of the film means good things to come..
