"Fantastic" Leader Talks Sequel
Jessica Alba's had her chance to spill some early beans regarding "Fantastic Four 2," so it only seems right that Ioan Gruffudd ("Mr. Fantastic") would earn a chance as well.
From ComingSoon.net: "The UK born actor admitted that while he has signed on for the sequel, which begins shooting in Vancouver in late August, he still hasn't seen the script. "I have not seen the script or read it. I don't know exactly what the story line is. I know Jessica Alba has been talking about it quite a bit and I believe that the premise is Silver Surfer is the new character that comes into it."
Although Gruffudd has had some time to adjust to the overwhelming success of the first installment of the "Fantastic Four" series, he still can't believe the film's popularity. "It's fantastic. You know it's beyond our wildest dreams on how it performed in the box office. Obviously personally I'm delighted that we're going back. Hopefully this one will be successful and we'll go back for a third one as well after that."
There's also a little tidbit about the potential return of Dr. Doom, so click here to check that out.

Zen Bullet writes: on Jun 12 2006 02:08 PM The first flick was cynical, dumb, terribly written, poorly cast, and had horrible effects. And it STILL managed to be entertaining in a shallow way . . . until it's awful third act, anyway. Even still, I waited till DVD to see it. Now that FF is a proven moneymaker, we'll probably get the same trash again . . . except now it'll have a bigger budget, better effects, and the Silver Surfer. And I will STILL wait for the DVD. Hollywood filmmaking logic mystifies me. I guess greed breeds stupidity. (Reply to this) |
