Dane Cook to Make "Transformers" Appearance?
Now here's a piece of geek-news that we certainly didn't see coming. At the Comic Con we learned that Peter Cullen would be returning to voice head "Transformer" Optimus Prime, which is very cool, but now comes word that exceedingly popular comedian Dane Cook would be popping up in the mega-hyped Michael Bay flick. Wha...?

"Transformers" hits theaters next July.

on Jul 25 2006 07:55 AM Well, there's alot of comedians in this one. Bernie Mac and Nicole Randall Johsnon (of MADtv fame). Oh, and this is not new news. I just saw Dane's name on the cast list at IMDB.com a few days back. (Reply to this) |

on Jul 26 2006 02:35 AM Yippie! Another hack is attached to this film! Dane Cook is talentless. People who think he is funny need to get out more. I suspect they are the same people that find Brittney's music "timeless." (Reply to this) |

on Jul 26 2006 09:29 AM Sounds like a publicity stunt. Just saw the teaser trailer last night. Truly awful - hopefully this movie will cost a TON of cash and lose 1/2 of it. Then we can send Bay to DVD where he belongs. (Reply to this) |

on Jul 26 2006 11:58 AM Who the heck is Dane Cook? I guess I'm not a pop cultured obsessed person but I watch a lot of TV and movies and I have never heard of him. Has he been on anything popular? I checked out his photo in IMDB and still have no clue who he is. I thought popular meant the person is well known to people outside internet culture :P (Reply to this) |

on Jul 27 2006 12:45 AM In reply to this comment (#840995) Then what exactly does it take to be amazingly popular? The guy has the highest selling comedic record of all time, everyone quotes him, he has his own hbo show, and he's been in a number of films. (Reply to this) |
