2006 Toronto Film Festival Uncovers Full Slate
by Scott Weinberg | August 23, 2006
Discuss Article
The 31st Toronto International Film Festival has locked its slate for 2006, and it looks like there'll be 261 feature films playing up north next month, 91% of which are either world or North American premieres. Plus they're showing "Borat"!!!

Click here for the TIFF 2006 Film List, but suffice to say it includes new films from Ridley Scott, Michael Apted, Steve Zaillian, Paul Verhoeven, Christopher Guest, Anthony Minghella, Pedro Almodovar, Spike Lee, Werner Herzog, Ken Loach, Brad Silberling, Guy Maddin, Hal Hartley, Darren Aronofsky, Todd Field, Kenneth Branagh, Guillermo del Toro, Marc Forster, Shane Meadows, Roger Michell, John Cameron Mitchell -- in addition to dozens of "under the radar" titles that'll be buzzed about come mid-September.

Plus there's a whole bunch of cool-looking horror flicks, tons of short films, and ... "Borat"!!!

(And of course your intrepid Tomato-Crew will be in attendance up north, bringing you all sorts of reviews and reactions...)
