Angela Bettis Signs on for HD/3-D Horror
Horror fans who enjoyed "The Toolbox Murders," "May," and the "Carrie" mini-series will want to keep an eye out for Angela Bettis in "Scar" some time soon. Actually, based on what I've read, you should keep both eyes out...
From Variety: "Angela Bettis will star in the psychological horror pic "Scar." Shooting begins Oct. 3 in Calgary under the helm of Jed Weintrob. Zack Ford and Weintrob conceived the concept, with Ford penning the script.
Story follows a young woman who returns to her small hometown for her niece's high-school graduation. In town she is still remembered as the sole survivor of a serial killer's spree and as the person who managed to kill the murderer. Upon her arrival, the killings resume.
"Scar" will be shot with high-definition 3-D technology as the first of a new crop of live-action, 3-D horror films to begin production."

on Sep 01 2006 11:56 AM Bettis = Queen of Horror I'm becoming more enamored by Bettis per project (especially how she's becoming synonymous with horror like Parker Posey is to indie flicks), and I'd like to see what Scar has to offer, but what kind of 3D are we talkin' here? Sharkboy 3D or Avatar 3D? (Reply to this) |

on Sep 02 2006 01:24 PM I am a fan of both horror films and Angela Bettis plus i have always loved 3d so this is a match made in heaven. I have seen every 3d film i have been able to and that includes House of Wax and Creature From the Black Lagoon along with others such as Metalstorm, Freddy's Dead, Starchaser, The Man Who Wasn't There, Comin At Ya, Jaws 3d, and Friday the 13th 3d. I have to tell you i know some of these films aren't the best but they were 3d so i had to go see them. As far as effects go the Friday was the best....everything was popping out at you in that one. I have always loved 3d because it gets the audience interested and sort of participating in the film which is something we have been lacking in the moviegoing experience for quite some time. I welcome the new crop of 3d movies and cannot wait to see them. (Reply to this) |
