The New Casino Royale Trailer Hits!
by RT Staff | September 10, 2006
Discuss Article
The new Bond has a new trailer, and it's, well, very Bond. For "Casino Royale," requisite chaos, sexiness, and flashy SFX abound, but is Dan Craig the same 007?

With "Casino Royale," we get a morally troubled J.B., played by Daniel Craig in a smoky mood. He’s more of an outsider than ever and flirting with the dark side that Bonds like Connery and Brosnan scoffed at and squashed. Based on Ian Fleming’s first Bond novel, this 007 lark (at number 21, old James is legal), updates the story for topicality, political decorum, etc. as we meet Bond before he earned "00" status.

Licensed to kill.

A number of missions lead to Bond infiltrating a terrorist financing network, at great peril, and with proto-Bond Girls aplenty. This time, they include Caterina Murino and Eva Green, and of course the ever-lovely Judi Dench returns as "M." "Casino Royale" also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Jeffrey Wright, Giancarlo Giannini, Ivana Milicevic, Simon Abkarian, and Isaach De Bankolé.

I am hoping for soemthing better then all the Bonds, but more importantly better then the last 2 Bonds. The style and charisma seem to be back into place, and I hope Craig can pull this off. I am loving the more emotional side of Bond.

That trailer just confirms it. Casino Royale (and Daniel Craig for that matter) is gonna ROCK.

Trailer had me in an awed silence. It is so brilliant and cool that November 17th cannot come quick enough! Craig looks brilliant and has some smart one liners that I saw, not the cheesy stuff we are used to. But the action is what shines most, it is fast, brutal and intense. Looks so much better than Die Another Day!

I'd like to quote Keanu Reeves on this one.

"Whoa..."

Now it's official. CASINO ROYALE is now on my must-see list.
