Stallone to Star in "Predator 3"?
Summary
It's a piece of casting gossip that's almost certainly untrue, but it's a fun one anyway, so let's get to it: Someone thinks that Sylvester Stallone could be lined up to star in the second sequel to "Predator." Back to Article

Predator 2, while not terrific, was an okay film, and I love the original Predator. Rottentomatoes should post news, not rumors!! (Reply to this) |

new12play writes: on Sep 27 2006 08:59 AM This would be great I think. I thought the best part of Last Action Hero was the T2 standup that has Stallone instead of Schwarzenegger on it. Let Stallone make every sequel to every movie. I think he'd be great as a Ghostbuster or as the new Beverly Hills Cop. (Reply to this) |

Private Pyle writes: on Sep 27 2006 09:09 AM In reply to this comment (#845096) Didn't you know? Sly was actually cast as the lead in the original Beverly Hills Cop. It was originally written as a drama, but he turned it down. So they put some funny stuff in and reworked it, and then put Eddie Murphy in instead. (Reply to this) |

DantesFire writes: on Sep 27 2006 09:29 AM I think stallone could be great in this , especially if they make it more like the first one and make it like a cross between "First Blood" and "Predator". I'm serious here, think about how well that could work, he is a good mix of the "machismo" of Schwarzenegger from the first one and the vunerability of Danny Glover in the second one. Mikeal420 writes: on Sep 27 2006 10:32 AM C'mon, it's Predetor III, they might as well have Stallone star in it, Schwarzenegger only improvment on Stallone is he has a sense of humor about being just an action star, which makes him charismatic on screen (Reply to this) |

jeremyd4 writes: on Sep 27 2006 11:09 AM Predator in the jungle was fantastic! Predator in the city was a missed opportunity and should be looked at again! Predator versus some aliens in an underground Artic pyramid was just stupid.. .......so for Predator 3 throw in Sly as a replacement for Arnie, have it start in the jungle, or some middle eastern warzone (gives us a reason for having army troops again) and then have it end in the city or eastern europe. Reeven writes: on Sep 27 2006 04:16 PM In reply to this comment (#845104) I agree. Predator was a VERY fun movie, and I think a sequel could have actually WORKED if done well, Predator in the city has some cool potential, but enough time has passed and everyone has a bad taste in their mouth from the last one, I think that the chance to make Predator a true, quality franchise was blown on the second one. Ron_Burgundy writes: on Sep 28 2006 11:10 AM I thought about this long ago, like 1986, after the first predator film. i thought the sequel should go to the city and feature a cop (Stallone) who fights the Predator(s) but has to bring in the only human to have survived the first encounter...Arnold! It would even be called Predators. Like Aliens. Stallone's a little past his prime now. I agree that The Rock would be the perfect person to play Arnold's son from that Indian girl in the first film. southfrisco writes: on Oct 03 2006 06:00 PM Yeah Stallone and Travolta! Can't Miss! I'd like to see him in the movie.....getting his head torn off and watching the Predator rip his face off the skull. That would be cool.....no more Rocky movies..... Add to it Travolta getting his arms ripped off and then being beat to death with them as he continues to yell out "EwwwWeeee Gooood Loookin!" and you got a film the whole family can enjoy. John Sabala writes: on Jan 15 2008 10:35 AM It could work, I always wanted to see stallone have a crack at the predator. But the Rock might be a good contender or maybe Vin Deisel. IMO But they have to be in shape and have the character not act like a *****, like all scared and ****. Because in Predator 1, It didn't seem like Arnold show any kind of softness in the movie period. It seems like the Dutch character couldn't wait to fight whatever is killing his men. Shiiiit, I mean he did stood his ground and hit the predator with a log and stuck the **** out of him after he got hit one time that flew him about 20 feet backwards. And also the Dutch character called out the Predator with a torch. So if they are goingto revised the Dutch character and he has to have that same mentality. But no one can actually replace the king of action hero as Arnold Schwartzenegger PERIOD. (Reply to this) |
