Keith Richards is "So Drunk" on the "Pirates 3" Set
by Scott Weinberg | September 28, 2006
Discuss Article
Hey guess what? Keith Richards likes to get drunk -- and he's certainly not about to let a cameo role in "Pirates of the Caribben: At Worlds End" stand in the way of a good time.

From The Miami Herald: "Keith Richards' appearance in the second Pirates of the Caribbean sequel descended into chaos after he apparently got so drunk on the movie set, the film's director had to prop him up, IMDB.com reports.

The hell-raising Rolling Stones guitarist finally shot his long-awaited cameo as Johnny Depp's father in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End earlier this summer, but he is perhaps unlikely to remember the occasion."

Click here for the full report, and thanks to actor Bill Nighy for dishing the fascinating dirt.

You're an idiot. Pirates 1 wasn't better than any of the LotR movies, and 2 definitely wasn't. On top of that, this is a thread about Keith Richards being drunk. I don't think anywhere did they make a comparison. Are you just some random LotR hater who wants to flaunt his strange opinions, regardless of the subject matter?

No sir YOU are the idiot. You're putting a definitive on a completely objectional statement. You should have said, " 'I' think Pirates 1 was trash compared to any of the LotR movies.." etc etc, word it how you want. Not "Pirates 1 wasn't better than any of the LotR movies". There are people out there who HATE LotR. Perhaps those people would think that Pirates WAS better. Don't try to sound smart if you aren't, because your true form will come out one way or another.

Sorry, I just hate when people put definitives on completely objectional mediums, like movies.

And on Keith Richards....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! awesome...

Hey wow, here's someone who didn't like LotR!!
Randal Graves (Clerks II): "Those fuckin' Hobbit movies were boring as hell. All it was, was a bunch of people walking, three movies of people walking to a fucking volcano." (which in the end, in MY opinion, is true)

Before you go off saying 'THAT'S NOT A REAL PERSON' and all that jazz...its a character, but the character was written by Kevin Smith, who obviously had something to say about LotR...think about it. Not everyone loves those hobbit movies. If you do that's cool, but don't go spouting truths that are inaccurate....later.

I subjectively do not like the word objectional. I prefer objectionable, myself. Is that how it's done -- the whole being non-definitive thing -- I believe that you should have written that you THINK he's an idiot, not that he is -- oh well -- sorry, I think I couldn't help myself from this subjectively objectional muse.

Okay, I was emphaisizing his comment by simply repeating it with a not in front. I don't think when used in that sense, it is grammatically incorrect. Also, if you finished my comment, I didn't say the guy was an idiot because he thought Pirates was better than LOTR. I said he was an idiot because he randomly stated that thought on a thread about Keith Richards' drinking problem. Idiot was probably too strong a word, but I was in a bad mood when I wrote it.

'Eh...I was in a bad mood too. It just annoys me when people do that kinda thing, aand I tried hand at being a dick on the internet for once, lol. Also, to me, Clerks II was Kevin Smith's best movie.

But still...the Keith Richards thing is pretty damn funny...to me ; P

lotr vs pirates
OK....there is no point comparing the 2. No similarities (apart from wooden but totally sexy O Bloom). I love both movies but have to pick LOTR out of the 2. These foruma always have people stating there opinion is right but if its an opinion it cant be right. to be correct its a fact. humpf....i was going somewhere with this!
At the end of the day you will have lotr haters and potc haters. I loved Clerks 2 laughed at the LOTR bit, agreed with it to a degree (there was a lot of walking!) but still count lotr as one of my favourite movies!! does that make me schizo!

The producers should probably happy that keith's role is only temporary. If he played a major role in the movie, the production would probably delay to the point of eternity.
