"Ghost Rider" Posters, Trailers & Statues. Oh My.
by Scott Weinberg | October 03, 2006
Discuss Article
In an effort to help fill the 24 months we've been waiting to see "Ghost Rider" already, Sony has decided to treat us to a few new posters, a brand-new trailer (yes, another one), and a bunch of ... character statues!

I'll let the ComingSoon.net guys sort it all out: "Moviefone has your first look at the new poster for "Ghost Rider." On Wednesday at 3pm, the site will also have the premiere of the new trailer for the film.

In related news, you can find new statue art for the movie here including Johnny Blaze, Ghost Rider, Blackheart and Mephistopheles.

Written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson, "Ghost Rider" stars Nicolas Cage, Wes Bentley, Eva Mendes, Matt Long, Sam Elliott, Peter Fonda, Donal Logue, Mathew Wilkinson and Daniel Frederiksen. The comic book adaptation hits theaters on February 16."

I don't really care about the posters and statues and crap, I'm just afraid (and rationally, at that) that this movie is gonna be really bad, being made by the guy who did Daredevil. And Ghost Rider is one of those characters that could actually produce a decent film, unlike the Fantastic Four, for example.

it is funny how nerds on these boards never share the view of the general public, especially that retard "the-russian", he should go back to the motherland and live there with their movies.

What exactly are you saying? What IS the view of the general public? My bad, I thought forums were for sharing your own opinions, next time I'll be sure to just go along w/ what everyone else is saying.

And if you knew anything, you might pick out The Russian as being an enemy from the Punisher comics, which was another comic film that didn't do its source material justice.

Actually the point is that you think that Punisher and Fantastic Four, and Ghost Rider sucks but the majority of people who saw it liked it, so i am just pointing out how nerds like you are out of touch with reality.

We could always try the "let's wait until it's released and have actually seen it" plan. But I guess that doesn't sell newspapers. :)

No offense, but you people really should try READING a post before blasting the author. I never said that the Punisher movie sucked, I said that it didn't live up to the source material. There were parts of the movie that I think they did well, like the fight scene with The Russian, which was more or less taken directly from the pages of the Marvel Knights comic, and I was impressed with a lot of the kill shots. But there were a lot of terrible things in the movie, like Frank getting his skull insignia from a t-shirt his son got for him (WHAT?!), and, oh yeah, the rows of burning cars in the shape of a skull near the end. Being a huge Punisher fan, I actually thought the movie was decent.

And to the other guy, who said lets wait and see the Ghost Rider film first, I agree. You really can't tell. I originally said that I was AFRAID it was going to be a bad movie, not that it was GUARANTEED to be a bad movie.

And the majority of people liked Fantastic Four? Really?

Fantastic 4 was not liked by the public - you only have to see peoples reaction to a sequal to know it wasnt popular! but it will however take money as people will give it anther chance.
And i agree with the Russian - The punisher was good but coudl have been so much more - i work in a cinema's head office in England and the general view was that it let itself down slightly.
I actually think the ghost rider looks quite good and i have high hopes for it. It looks a film that if your not a fan of the comic you can still appreciate (and wwith regards to Wicker Man - we all make mistakes!)

You have no clue about what you are talking about. The General public liked it, only little nerds like you hated it. So you are wrong.

actually i am not a little nerd - i have never read a comic in my life and at 5ft 9 im hardly little! As i said i work in a cinemas head office and can gauge public feedback quite well and it was not good! so i think i do have a clue what i am talkign about. To personally attack someone for their opinion shows what little inteligence the person has so i must say i feel for you. I didnt say the film did not make money - i simply said it was not popular which is true.

Oh it made enough to get a sequal and it had good word of mouth so you are wrong again. It was popular, the money it made was a sign of its popularity, moron.
