Gorgeous Model Joins "Fantastic Four 2" Cast
by Scott Weinberg | October 03, 2006
Blog Article | Discuss Article
Fashion model turned actress Beau Garrett has been signed to play the Human Torch's love interest in next year's "Fantastic Four" sequel. Here's hoping she owns a few fire extinguishers.

From The Hollywood Reporter: "Beau Garrett and Andre Braugher have been cast in "Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer," which Tim Story is directing for 20th Century Fox. Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis are reprising their roles for the adaptation of the long-running Marvel comics series, a follow-up to last year's "Fantastic Four." Shooting is under way in Vancouver. Garrett will play Frankie Raye, a scientist and love interest to Evans' character. In the comic she eventually gains super powers."

Ms. Garrett can soon be seen in "Turistas" and "Unearthed." Otherwise do a quick Google search and be ready to drool a little.

... I think I hear crickets chirping... Does anyone really care anymore? I think both the general public and the fanboys have given up on this franchise all together. This movie's gonna bomb...

Eh. If the acting's better and Doom sucks less, it'll probably be a better movie. Plus Galactus. How can you go wrong with Galactus? You can't!

You can go wrong, as was proven by the Marvel "Ultimate Galactus" series.

It should be noted she was also Vince's vegan girlfriend in the first season of Entourage.

Nice ass but who cares?
I don't think bringing in a model to "act" in a film such as this has either made or broken a movie.

Anyway yes, I remember her bare ass from Entourage. But it will take more than Alba's and her butts to get a bunch of other peoples butts in the seats.

Give me Spidey 3, The Dark Knight, and Sin City 2. All other comic book franchises can go away.

If you exclude Sin City 2 and put in the Punisher sequel and Ghost Rider i would agree with you.

I imagine we can expect much of the same from Fantastic Four for this sequel. It's being made with the same people, by the same people. But it wasn't a HORRIBLE movie in my opinion. While I'd love for them to give a little more gravity to the characters and stories, a little levity isn't always a bad thing. It wasn't campy like Batman & Robin either, which is the other side of the spectrum(sp?). I look forward to seeing how it comes out.

Fanboys didn't make the first one successful, 13 year olds and people with nothing better to do (like myself, for that matter) did. Fanboy buzz does not yield profit, especially for a big-budget movie (SoaP, anyone?). As for the general public, they probably don't know that this movie is going to be made yet... not every surfs the net to find out which movies will be released 10-18 months from now. But when this movie is released next summer now they will be there. Two really hot women and a burning man is enough to get a lot of people's $10 (yes, in New York a ticket costs that much).

I live in california and that is how much I am paying. Every time I go see a movie, I always wonder if it is cheaper just to fucken buy the stupid thing. Every time a new movie comes out, wal mart whores them out for 15 bucks. That means for 5 more bucks, I could own the fucken thing. Another thing is that block buster is charging like 4.50 for renting movies. Man, all of these price increases are forcing me to think about buying movies.

I thought it said BRAD Garrett. However, it still didn't interest me at the slightest.
