good to see the departed is a hit

I hope this doesn't encourage studios to push for the ramke of oldboy, the other great asian film of the last few years

Funny you should say that. I was watching "30 Even Scarier Movie Moments" on Bravo and one of the people talking about the movies was titled as "Producer, Oldboy Remake." So I guess it's already in the works.

Glad to see The Departed is still making money, it's one of the years best. I saw Flags of Our Fathers this weekend and it was alright(B) better than what most people make it to be. That's to bad that Catch a Fire did so bad, I'm going to see it this next weekend. I wish they would just expand The Queen nation wide already so I could see it. That's a nice start for Babel.

Departed isnt a remake as such. It takes the same concept as the original and makes a new film out of it. The characters are very different.
