Tom Cruise, Robert Redford & Meryl Streep On the "Lamb"
One surefire way to make people forget you got jilted by a studio is to, oh I dunno, BUY an old movie studio AND sign on to work opposite Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. That Tom Cruise is a pretty busy guy. (And ok, he didn't BUY United Artists, but it looks like he'll be running the show.)
From Variety & ComingSoon.net: "Tom Cruise next will star in Lions for Lambs, a Robert Redford-directed drama that will co-star Redford and Meryl Streep.
The movie will be Cruise's first outing for United Artists since he and C/W partner Paula Wagner agreed to revive the company for Harry Sloan's MGM.
"Lambs" is a Matthew Carnahan-scripted drama that consists of three interconnected storylines: Cruise as a congressman who interacts with a journalist (Streep); Redford as an idealistic professor who attempts to inspire a privileged student in his class; and a third storyline about a pair of American soldiers wounded in enemy territory, one of whom is Redford's former student."

Plus what did he do that was so bad? If I got to sleep with Katie Holmes I'd be jumping up and down on Oprah's couch too!! (Reply to this) |

donotjudgeunseen writes: on Nov 18 2006 12:56 PM Well, I donīt care about the hooplas he pulls in real life for as long as he puts out good movies. I like Redford and Streep is a great actress. Loved her in Devil wears Prada and loved her in Out Of Africa. A Streep/Redford reunion sounds great and adding Tom to the mix doesnīt hurt me either. Heīs a good enough actor in movies.
