Big fan of celebrated author / artist / filmmaker Neil Gaiman? Dying to ask the guy a few questions about his upcoming movie "Stardust"? If so, I have some pretty good news for you.

In order to submit a query to Mr. Gaiman, simply visit the official "Stardust" website for the details.

Plot synopsis, short version: "In a countryside town bordering on a magical land, a young man makes a promise to his beloved that he'll retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the magical realm."

Presently scheduled for a July 27 release date, "Stardust" is being directed by Matthew Vaughn. Cast members include Robert De Niro, Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Peter O'Toole.

Is this based on a british fairy tale? The synopsis sounds very much like a short story written/translated by Tolkien...

don't quite know the origin/inspiration other than gaiman's story, but reading it, the story is more an amalgamation of classic folklore. witches of ageless beauty needing the heart of another for sustained youth; questing for a loved one; heirs fighting for the crown to their kingdom through murder; magic object to aide the hero's way. all classic elements in a great literal fairytale.

look at that, De Niro's actually attached to an interesting film for a change. what's it been bobby? 10 years since you were in a movie that didn't suck?
