"Primeval" Gets Closer; Delivers Some New TV Spots
by Scott Weinberg | January 03, 2007
Discuss Article
It was originally scheduled for a mid-April release, but the mysteriously-advertised horror flick "Primeval" is about to make its debut a little early. Like, next weekend early.

The horror thriller stars Dominic Purcell, Brooke Langton and Orlando Jones, and it focuses on an American news crew who travels down to South Africa to do a story on "the world's most prolific serial killer," but when they find him, well, he's not what they expect.

Click here to see the two new TV spots, and click here to visit the official site, which has trailers and clickables and whatnot.

January 12 is when "Primeval" will now hit the screens.

Based on the trailer I saw at the movies, I still don't understand what it is that's attacking people. Apparently it can travel on land and sea really swiftly, and isn't human? Just what the hell is this thing?

The trailer does a good job of not showing you what it is really about. It is about a 25-ft crocodile. I could be wrong but I think that it is some what based on actual events (what movie isn't these days) about this croc that terrorized a certain area in Africa some years back.

Wow, that's way closer. Kinda weird that they would rush the release that much.

I just did and I'm going this Friday. WOOHOO!!!! I'm the only one around here whos ever heard of Pan's Labrynth so I'll be going alone.

Oh, this film being discussed looks typically horrible. Orlando Jones and the dude from Prison Break? This has generic written all over it. But wow, Orlando Jones doesnt age a bit. How has he done this!!??

You're right on the money, SunflowerSamurai. It's about that very croc.

Although I love the "giant versions of real animals eating people" genre of films, the trailer for this movie looks stupid. I guess I'll wait until they start showing it on USA or whatever.
