A Few More Bond Tidbits to Kick Around
by Scott Weinberg | January 05, 2007
Discuss Article
The popcorn's barely been digested on "Casino Royale," but that won't stop the James Bond junkies from popping up with all sorts of new nuggets of info on the NEXT 007 adventure.

According to IGN Movies, the earlier reports that an old Ian Fleming story, "Risico," would be mined for the "Royale" follow-up, despite the fact that the story was once turned into a movie called "A View to a Kill," are erroneous. Seems that if they use anything from that story, it'll be the title alone. The basic gist of the article is this: Nobody knows for sure what the next Bond flick will center on -- not even the screenwriters. (For a lot more Bond geekiness, check out the article.)

Also, according to Variety, the next "Bond Jr." book will be called "Double or Die," which won a fan vote over possible titles like "The Deadlock Cipher" and "Nemesis." This series, which will (allegedly) stop at five books, focuses on the misadventures of a young James Bond. (Like, college age.)

I've said it before. If Craig's in on this one, then so am I.

Thank goodness they aren't doing a remake.

SPECTRE!!
I really hope they bring the group in to some more light (or use another name I don't really care). It would be great to have three or four movies with our guy bond dealing with these guys.

Risico is a bitching name for a Bond flick, especially after the 3 Brosnan bonds after Goldeneye. those titles where very cheesy.

as for bond jr., why the hell would you choose "double or die" ? "The Deadlock Cipher" sounds like a badass name.

Aaaah, what do you mean, badass name. Sounds like some old Sherlock Holmes mystery. You know, Col. Plum in the boudoir with a length of garden hose. Who cares, I like the new Bond too. Just suspend disbelief, like when the Niagara Falls comes gushing out of your tv set. Why, I oughta . . . Remind me to kill you later!
