Rob Zombie to Helm a "Grindhouse" Trailer!
By now you're well aware that "Grindhouse" will be two movies in one: Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof" and Robert Rodriguez's "Planet Terror" -- but didn't we once hear something about "extra" material for in between the flicks? Yep, we did. And Rob Zombie is directing some of that stuff.
More specifically, Zombie's "Grindhouse" contribution will be a trailer for a movie called "Werewolf Women of the SS," and it'll boast names like Udo Kier, Sybil Danning, Bill Moseley, Tom Towles and (of course) Sheri Moon Zombie. Oh, and Nicolas Cage.
And if that's not fun enough for you, Fangoria reports that even MORE trailers will be wedged between the "Grindhouse" features, and they'll be directed by guys like Tarantino, Rodriguez, Eli Roth ("Hostel"), and Edgar Wright ("Shaun of the Dead").
Now maybe it's just because I'm a pathetic horror freak, but I'm thinking this "Grindhouse" flick is gonna be a really good time.

on Jan 16 2007 02:51 PM I'm not to keen on Eli Roth but I doubt a 2 minute clip would be enough to bring down the awesomeness that Grindhouse will be. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 16 2007 03:45 PM I am not sure about this one I just watched Kill Bill and while it was entertaining, some of that movie bugs the hell out of me. Tarantino's dialog has gone a little over the top, and that is saying a lot. The man's in love with himself and critics and fanboys keep on praising him. Now he is making a film of the genre that inspired him a grindhouse film. These grindhouse movies are shit. Why the hell do you want to make one, not to mention two, of these pieces of crap? I am probably going to be surprised, but someday people are going to catch on and Quentin's going to be humbled. This might be the film. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 17 2007 08:36 AM In reply to this comment (#853194) Its supposed to be over the top and ridiculous. That's the idea. Its supposed to be FUN. We all know that it won't win any academy awards. Grindhouse films are so bad their entertaining. I think Tarantino and Rodriguez actually have a sense of humor for bringing them back. A machine gun leg? How could you NOT take that as over the top? Its what Tarantino does. He is overrated, sure. But that doesn't make him a bad film maker. I enjoy his nutty movies. And of course Grindhouse is all about the fanboys. I won't be surprised when unsuspecting people go to see this movie expecting some shitty average horror movie and find themselves saying WTF??? ...and I will be in the front row cheering.
