An Old Friend Checks Out James Cameron's New "Avatar"
Well here's some James Cameron news that's interesting if not all that surprising: In addition to the already-cast Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, the "Avatar" director looks to be interested in hiring an old friend for his new movie. (I'm pretty sure he's been in all Cameron's movies except for "Titanic." Can you name him?)
It's Michael Biehn! LatinoReview.com is reporting that Biehn and Cameron will be reuniting for the director's long-awaited (and not nearly ready yet) "Avatar." Mr. Biehn first gained attention by playing Kyle Reese in the original "Terminator," but he also did a bang-up job as Corporal Dwayne Hicks in "Aliens." (He's the one Marine that lived to see the end credits ... but not the opening credits of "Alien 3." Grrr.) The actor also portrayed the dangerously unhinged (and creepily ill-fated) Lt. Coffey in Cameron's "The Abyss."
So of course Michael Biehn is gonna be in "Avatar." Let's hope Jim finds a spot for Bill Paxton, too!
(No word yet on who Biehn will be playing, but I'm putting my money on the square that says "a military guy.")

on Jan 17 2007 05:02 AM He wasn't in True Lies either. And also wasn't in the theatrical version of T2, but he did make a cameo in the extended cut. But yea, I think the guy's awesome. I loved him in The Treminator. Too bad he didn't really have a career to speek of besides his roles in the Cameron films. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 17 2007 05:55 AM His best performance is Johnny Ringo in Tombstone. He also is in Tarantino's section of Grindhouse. (Reply to this) |

Biehn, Val Kilmer, Kurt Russell, a couple of the ladies, even Jason Priestly :) (Reply to this) |
