Exclusive Trailer: Steve Austin in "The Condemned"

The WWE's Steve Austin has his first starring role in Lionsgate's "The Condemned," and IGN's got the exclusive first peek at the trailer for this prisoners-on-an-island, battle royale action piece. Click here to watch!

"The Condemned" marks the man formerly known as Stone Cold's first major screen role, pitting him against such towering mountains of muscle as Vinnie Jones ("X-Men"'s Juggernaut) and Nathan Jones ("Jet Li's Fearless"). In the pic, Austin is one of a group of prisoners set free on a deserted island, forced into mortal combat for his freedom -- while a television crew films the action and broadcasts the show for the entire world.

Check out more pictures of "The Condemned."

It looks like the best of the WWE movies but not that horriable for an action movie.

So it's the combination of Battle Royale and No Escape all put into one movie? Ray Liotta needs work!

I must say, that actually looks kinda cool (by FAR the best of these WWE flicks, already calling it). Interesting premise, it's like illegal chicken fights or cat juggling, but with people.

Why does RT say "Exclusive Trailer", it's from IGN! Not exactly their exclusive...

I already know who dies, by watching that trailer... jeesh.

Yeah, I see the Battle Royale aspect of it. Don't forget Running Man (another gameshow-gone-wrong classic). We see at least two people who are going to die in this film. Jeez.

But it does look like a good popcorn film.

... it's a "Last Man Standing" movie starring Steve Austin made by the WWE, and you are complaining that by watching a trailer you know who dies?

You can look the cast list and know who dies! Anyone not Steve Austin. This is hardly The Wire.

Well, one caveat. The other possible list of survivors is "Steve Austin and some chick". I admit the possibility of that scenario.

Vinnie Jones, Nathan Jones...what, they didn't want to get Pam Jones for the trifecta?
