"Grindhouse" to Be Sliced Up for Overseas ConsumptionTarantino's "Kill Bill" was originally intended to be one long movie, but the filmmaker (with some advice from the Weinsteins) decided to split it into two movies -- for "artistic" reasons? Looks like the same thing could be happening with "Grindhouse" ... in some countries, anyway.
According to Variety, "Grindhouse" will be distributed as two separate flicks (Robert Rodriguez's "Planet Terror" and QT's "Death Proof," in case you haven't heard by now), but only in parts of the globe where A) people don't speak English, and B) people have no freakin' idea what a "grindhouse" actually is.
Word is that in order to bulk the movies up, some 'additional footage' will be wedged back in -- material that's just itchin' for a three-disc Special Edition ... right Harvey?
The full-bore "Grindhouse" (complete with fake trailers) hits North America on April 6th.
