Fehr Not Returning for "Mummy 3"
by Scott Weinberg | March 05, 2007

While we await word on whether or not Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz will be returning for the second "Mummy" sequel, we have a little news on someone who definitely won't be returining: Oded Fehr.

Nope, the heroic character of Ardeth Bay is apparently nowhere to be found in the newest "Mummy" screenplay, although (obviously) Mr. Fehr would be thrilled to reprise the role if necessary. He broke this news while promoting a sequel that he does appear in: Russell Mulcahy's "Resident Evil: Extinction," which opens in September.

Oded Fehr's previous films include "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo," "Texas Rangers," and "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" -- plus my mom has a huge crush on him.

That's just wondeful. NOT. Fehr's character was totally likeable and one of the best things about these movies. Oh well.
