"X-Files 2" Inches Closer to Reality
No, it's not official just yet, but longtime "X-Files" producer Frank Spotnitz recently blogged that, yep, the wheels are definitely turning on a sequel to "X-Files: Fight the Future."
"A script is indeed in development, but I'm afraid that's all I can say. Thanks for your good wishes and support all these years," is what Mr. Spotnitz shared. Our source also indicates that both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are interested in reprising their roles from the previous film and the cult-favorite Fox series.
No word yet on if it'll be a "connected" sequel or more like a James Bond "separate adventure" concept -- but hopefully we can get some of those pesky questions answered!

ninjaandy writes: on Apr 24 2007 07:48 AM I agree. The TV show maintained its quality for 7 seasons, and even the last two weren't terrible, with a few episodes that were actually really good. I'm looking forward to this movie. (Reply to this) |

highdough writes: on Apr 24 2007 04:38 PM The show started to get WAAY too convoluted by the end. There were the `grey aliens', the bees, the black oil, the alien-human hybrids, the dozens of conspiracies that seemed to pop up. It's as if Chris Carter never wnts to answer any of the questions fully, so he just threw in another twist to further complicate matters. Seven seasons (I'm guessing that was the total) was far too long. I just stopped caring after a while. Maybe the movie can get back to the basics. (Reply to this) |

Man, that was a major dissapointment. That, and NOT seeing Mulder and Scully BUTT NAKED and "going at it"... Producers, Directors? Please take notice. (Reply to this) |
